Identified below are the relevant areas for some of the main user organisations who have an interest in copyright.
Please note that groups may have an interest in areas other than the one they are listed under; for example, educational establishments may use music, films, software and broadcasts as well as printed material, CD-ROMs and on-line databases.
In addition, some groups may have an interest as holders of rights as well as being users of other people's works. For example, many museums have rights in their publications and images of their collections as well as having to clear the rights of others in order to produce such items.
