Our community initiatives

We encourage staff to take on responsibility in the community and take part in local initiatives. We contribute by creating opportunities and giving staff paid leave for the initiatives detailed below. We regret that we are unable to respond to requests for donations to charity or local community projects because this is outside our legal remit.

Charity

We allow staff time in work for fundraising activities and support staff in this respect. Our Give as You Earn scheme allows individuals to donate to charity regularly from their gross pay.

Paid Leave

We give staff paid leave for voluntary public service. This includes local government duties, being a school governor, jury duty, being a magistrate and being a witness in court.

Blood donors

We hold regular blood donor sessions allowing staff, who may not have time outside of work, to donate.
